Police tape off city centre street and blood-spattered pavement outside All Bar One

A street in Manchester city centre has been taped off by police after a man was reportedly attacked nearby.

Exact details of the incident are yet to be confirmed by GMP, however photos from the scene show what appears to be several large pools of blood on the ground outside All Bar One on King Street.

Forensic officers could be seen examining a number of nearby streets, with Sussex Street - which is just off Marsden Street - completely taped off.

It is understood the incident happened between 6pm and 7pm on Friday evening.

Witnesses reported seeing a man 'with his face slashed' walking towards the bar, with drinkers apparently being told to stay indoors while police dealt with what was going on.

Four chairs at the entrance to All Bar One were taped off, with photos showing several blood pools on the pavement in between them.

Officers wearing masks over their mouths appeared to be collecting evidence and taking photographs along Sussex Street.

Investigations were also said to be underway on Marsden Street and Brown Street as well.

Police cleared both scenes by 9pm, witnesses told the M.E.N.

GMP have been contacted for comment.
