Police tape off Beeston Road after dramatic two-car crash sees BMW smash into butchers

Police have sealed off a street in Leeds after a dramatic crash which saw one car smash into the front of a butchers.

The accident happened in Beeston Road, Beeston, earlier this afternoon (Sat) and is believed to have involved two cars.

A crowd of people were seen surrounding the wreckage of both vehicles as police officers and paramedics responded to the serious crash.

It is not yet clear if anyone has been injured as a result of the accident or whether police have made any arrests.

LeedsLive is chasing a comment from West Yorkshire Police.

Both cars have been heavily damaged with one lodged into the front of M McDonell Quality Meats in Beeston Road.

The accident has led to First West Yorkshire announcing it is diverting its buses away from the street while police deal with the wreckage.
