Police tape off alleyway next to Co-op after 'unresponsive' man found collapsed

An alleyway was taped off by police after a man was found collapsed.

Police were called after the 'unresponsive' man was discovered on Copson Street in Withington this morning. He was taken to hospital.

The alleyway taped off is next to a Co-op store.

An investigation has been launched, and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.

GMP said: "Police were called to a report of an unresponsive man found collapsed on Copson Street, Manchester at around 7.30am this morning (Saturday 22 August 2020).

"Emergency services attended and the man was taken to hospital. Enquiries are ongoing.

"Anyone with information should call police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
