Police swoop on Port Glasgow property after man 'stabbed' in serious assault

Police have swooped on a property in Port Glasgow after a man was seriously assaulted.

Emergency services were called to the scene at a Rowan Court address around 2.05pm on Thursday, May 14.

A 52-year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, however his condition is not known at this time.

It is believed he was stabbed.

Now officers have launched a probe into the incident.

A police spokesperson said: "Police were called around 2.05pm on Thursday, 14 May, 2020, following the report of a serious assault at an address on Rowan Court, Port Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and a 52-year-old man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the incident."
