A gun has been discovered inside a hotel in north Manchester.
Police were called to the Crumpsall hotel at around 9am on Sunday (November 21) following reports that a gun had been found.
They found a firearm which has now been sent for forensic testing, the force said.
The M.E.N understands the weapon was found inside the Wilton Grange Hotel in Crumpsall Lane, which is currently being used as a temporary accommodation facility.

A crime scene investigation van was pictured in the car park on the hotel on Sunday.
Several police officers were spotted at the scene.

Police said enquiries are ongoing at this stage.
In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Police were called to a hotel on Crumpsall Lane on Sunday 21 November at around 9am following reports a firearm had been discovered.

"Officers attended, and a firearm has been recovered which has been sent for forensic testing.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
