Police swooped on a wanted man outside a Crown Court building in Manchester city centre.
The 36-year-old was spotted outside Minshull Street Crown Court at around 11.50am today (Thursday).
A number of police officers then arrested the man.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police confirmed the man was wanted for theft.
"A wanted man was seen outside court at around 11.50am this morning," a police spokesperson said.
"The 36-year-old man was wanted for theft. He was arrested."
