Police seized a bumper haul of £330,000 worth of cannabis plants during a major drugs raid on a quiet industrial estate.

Officers swooped on the cannabis farm in a commercial unit in the Lomond Industrial Estate in Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire on October 19.

Two men, aged 22 and 39, were arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “An intelligence-led operation was undertaken at Strone Road, Lomond Industrial Estate, Alexandria.

"Officers attended and discovered a cannabis cultivation site within.

“Hundreds of plants, worth an estimated street value of approximately £330,000 were seized and removed from the commercial property.”

Both men were due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court.
