Police have swooped on a Glasgow tower block this evening after a crowd gathered outside in a 'vigilante protest'.
Over 15 police cars and vans have been spotted at the scene of the incident at a tower block on Charles Street in the Royston area of the city.
The Daily Record reported that the crowd - believed to number over 100 people - had gathered at the high-rise building amid reports online speculating that an alleged sex offender was living in the building.
Further photos from the scene shared online show a number of police officers forming a cordon to prevent people from accessing the tower block.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman told the paper: "On Wednesday, June 10, police attended at a protest in Charles Street, Royston.
"The protest is ongoing and officers remain at the scene."
