Police swoop on East Lothian property and seize cannabis plants during raid

A man has been arrested after police seized cannabis plants during a raid in East Lothian.

Officers swooped on the property in Letham Mains in Haddington yesterday morning.

They executed a drugs warrant under what police have dubbed 'Operation Juneau'.

A 50-year-old man was arrested in relation to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 offences.

East Lothian Community Action Team cops along with local Community Officers attended at the address and seized a number of mature cannabis plants worth £3200.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 50-year-old man will be charged and reported to the Procurator Fiscal in relation to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 offences."
