Police swoop and arrest man on suspicion of witness intimidation and false imprisonment

Police swooped on a street in Litherland and arrested a man on suspicion of witness intimidation and false imprisonment.

One person, who lives nearby, told of dramatic scenes as several vehicles arrived outside a property on Kirkstone Road North this morning.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed that this morning officers were called to attend a " domestic incident" at 9.40am.

Officers arrested a 39-year-old man from Bootle on suspicion of witness intimidation, false imprisonment, Section 39 domestic violence and breach of police bail.

He has been taken to custody for questioning.
