A man was rushed to hospital following a suspected shooting on Wednesday night (November 9). Police are hunting the gunman after gunshots were fired in Skelmersdale, Lancashire.
Police are now investigating the incident, which left a man in his 30s in hospital with a leg injury. Emergency services had been called to Birch Green Road, in the Lancashire town shortly after 6pm.
A large area around the skate park was cordoned off as detectives made enquiries. No arrests have been made yet in relation to the incident, reports LancsLive.

There remained a heavy police presence at the scene late into Wednesday night. Residents were also told to expect an increased police presence and urged to talk to officers about concerns.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "We are investigating a suspected firearms discharge in Skelmersdale. We were called to Birch Green Road, Skelmersdale at 6.11pm tonight (Wednesday, November 9).
"A man, aged in his 30s, was found with a leg injury and has been taken to hospital to be treated for those injuries. The area around the skate park has been cordoned off whilst we investigate. As yet, no arrests have been made and enquiries are continuing.
"We appreciate that this incident will be worrying for the local community but there will be an increased police presence in the area and anyone with concerns is welcome to speak to an officer."
