​Police swarm Fife town after man found injured in street sparking probe

Police have swarmed Kirkcaldy after a man was found injured in the street.

The alarm was raised at around 9am after cops received reports of an injured person on Veronica Crescent.

The casualty was raced to the Victoria Hospital for treatment.

Detectives have now launched a probe into the incident and have taped off the area.

Pictures of the scene showed multiple officers in the area as investigations continue.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 9am on Monday, 21 February, to a report of a man found injured in the Veronica Crescent area of Kirkcaldy.

"He has been taken to the Victoria Hospital for treatment.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
