After investigating the report, officers determined that the call was a "false" one.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "We were called at around 3.20pm to a report of a suspicious bank transfer being made at a bank on Wilbraham Road, Manchester.

"Enquiries were made at the scene and found to be a false call made with good intent."
