Police swarm and close busy road after two car crash

Emergency services were called out to a two-vehicle smash in the Tuebrook area this evening.

Fortunately there were not believed to be any injuries following the incident, which happened in Boundary Lane.

A large number of police were reported to be at Boundary Lane, where it meets West Derby Road, and the street was closed off.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service were alerted to the crash at 5.31pm.

Two fire engines were on the scene by 5.35pm. The people inside the two vehicles were out when they arrived.

Pictures taken at the scene showed extensive damage to both vehicles. It is not known if anyone was injured.

Merseyside Police were also in attendance for traffic management purposes.

The crews made both vehicles and the scene safe, leaving at 5.52pm.

Merseyside Police were approached for comment.
