Police surround mobile home parked in the street before dramatic arrest

A man was arrested after police swarmed a street and surrounded a mobile home.

Officers were called to Buckingham Road in Tuebrook shortly before 7am on Thursday morning to reports of a domestic disturbance .

People in the area claimed that a woman and multiple children were inside the caravan when police arrived before a man was taken away in a police car.

A witness told the ECHO: "The police were here all morning. All the road was cordoned off and there was about 10 police cars.

“Officers were all stood here around this mobile home. There was a man, woman and kids in it.

“Apparently they wouldn’t come out.”

A short time later, a man was arrested on supision of assault and taken into custody.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We were called to a domestic disturbance on Buckingham Road in Tuebrook at 6.25am today.

“A 35 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of s47 assault.

“He is currently in custody.”
