A passer-by has stumbled on a grisly find, noticing a severed human finger lying on the ground in Melbourne's north.
The finger was discovered on a Prospect Street nature strip in Glenroy on Wednesday afternoon, with police alerted.
Detectives are trying to track down its owner and want to speak to any witnesses.
