Police stop suspected 'drunk driver' doing 120mph on M1 motorway

A suspected drunk driver was arrested by police this morning after allegedly driving along the M1 at 120mph.

The driver, in his 30s, was described by road traffic cops as "a complete danger on the road".

He was spotted by cops at the Black's Road junction of the M1 Eastbound around 1.10am this morning.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of excess alcohol and excess speeding at the Black’s Road junction of M1 Eastbound shortly after 1.10am this morning.

"The man arrested has been released pending a report to the PPS."
