Police stop car and find suspected Class A drugs hidden inside Kinder Eggs

Two men were arrested after police found 78 wraps of suspected Class A drugs hidden in Kinder Eggs.

Police stopped a car on the Higher Folds estate in Leigh and decided to search the driver and passenger, after speaking with them.

Officers found and seized two Kinder Surprise Eggs, containing 78 wraps of white powder and brown powder - suspected to be Class A drugs. Sharing the news on the GMP Leigh, Atherton & Hindley Facebook page on Friday afternoon (December 4), police said that they also seized 'other items as evidence of drug supply'.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and have since been released under investigation.

Police confirmed that enquiries are ongoing.

If you have information about drug use or supply in your local area, please report it to the police via 101. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
