Police stop BMW in Bolton and find 10 bags of cocaine

A BMW driver has been arrested after police found 10 bags of cocaine in the car.

Traffic cops from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said they first spotted a blue BMW 3 Series driving through Farnworth on Monday afternoon.

Shortly after police spotted the car, it sped off, but officers managed to find it again just off Bradford Road.

When they searched the car, police said they found 10 snap bags of cocaine.

The driver also tested positive for cocaine.

A spokesman for the Traffic division of GMP announced the arrest on the force's Twitter account.

They said: "XT14 was out and about in Bolton today.

"The BMW 330 was sighted in Farnworth where it initially made off.

"It was located again just off Bradford Road and was brought to a stop by the patrol.

"In the vehicle were 10 snap bags of cocaine.

"Driver also failed a drug test. Arrested."
