Police still hunting knifeman after 18 year-old stabbed in Rochdale

Police are still hunting a knifeman who stabbed a teenager in Rochdale.

The attack happened on Oldham Road, near the junction with Woodbine Street just outside the town centre on Saturday evening, January 2.

Officers along with paramedics raced to the scene around 7pm and discovered an 18-year-old man had been approached by two males before being assaulted with a knife.

The victim was taken to hospital with injuries to his head and leg.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening Greater Manchester Police said.

An investigation is underway.

A spokeswoman for the force today confirmed no arrests had yet been made in connection with the incident.

And they are renewing their appeal for anyone with any information which may help detectives to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 4668 quoting incident number 1866 of 02/01/21.
