Police are continuing to investigate after a man's body was found on a street in Salford .
The 56-year-old man's body was found on Agecroft Road, with the junction of Kilcoby Avenue, in Agecroft, on Monday, January 20.
A police scene was put in place while forensic officers carried out an investigation.
Officers continue to investigate the circumstances behind the man's death.
A post-mortem examination is underway.
The man's body was discovered shortly before 11.30am.
Greater Manchester Police said in a statement released yesterday: "Shortly before 11.30am this morning (Monday 20 January 2020), police were called to Agecroft Road at the junction with Kilcoby Avenue.
"Sadly, officers discovered the body of a man.
"A scene is in place whilst investigation work continues.
"The investigation is in its early stages and officers are working hard to establish the circumstances of the man’s death."
Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident number 1067 of 20/01/20. Reports can also be made anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
