Police statement on dramatic Kirkstall Road cordon as missing girl, 15, on viaduct sparks huge response

A 15-year-old who was reported missing by her family was found on a railway viaduct over a Leeds main road.

The female had been reported missing just minutes earlier with concerns for her welfare.

The incident saw emergency services swarm Kirkstall Road and cordon it off for several hours after a person was seen on the viaduct.

The road was shut in both directions with a police cordon put in place after a person was spotted on the railway bridge.

Thankfully, the girl was brought to safety.
