Police statement as hunt for Leeds knifeman continues 10 days after boy, 16, stabbed in Harehills Park

A knifeman is still at large after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in a Leeds park 10 days ago.

The teenage boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was stabbed in his shoulder in Harehills Park, off Coldcotes Avenue, on April 22.

West Yorkshire Police said the boy was in the park with a friend, who is also 16, when the pair were approached by a large group of “black and Asian” men who then launched an attack on them.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital where he received treatment for his injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening. His friend suffered minor bruising.

The force has now told LeedsLive enquiries are ongoing with no arrests at this point.
