A man has been taken to hospital after he was seriously assaulted near Nottingham. On Wednesday, August 3, emergency services were called to Lower Eldon Street, Sneinton, shortly before 3:20pm.
A 19 year old man was treated at the scene for a stab wound and was then taking to hospital for treatment. It is believed that his injuries are not life-threatening.
Nottinghamshire Police are now appealing for witnesses and information about the incident. Chief Inspector Paul Hennessy, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers were on the scene within minutes and enquiries are still ongoing to establish what happened.
“We have stepped up high-visibility reassurance patrols in the area as we continue to investigate the circumstances of this incident. Anyone who saw this incident, who may have recorded CCTV or dash-cam footage, or who has any other information about what happened is asked to contact the police immediately on 101, quoting incident 439 of 3 August, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
