Police statement after report of 'suspicious individual' at Bramcote College gates

Police have assured there is nothing to worry about after concerns were raised over a 'suspicious individual' standing at the gates of Bramcote College.

The man was standing outside in the afternoon of Monday, February 21, according to the school which is situated off Moor Lane.

In a Facebook post, Bramcote College said members of staff would be at Bramcote Park at the end of the day, should students need support.

The post, which has since been taken down, read: "Police have been informed about a suspicious individual outside the school gates this afternoon.

"SLT (school leadership team) are going to be on Bramcote Park at the end of the school day, should students need any support."

However, sergeant Simon Boyles, of Nottinghamshire Police, said that "no crime was found to be committed" and the matter was now resolved.

He said: “Police received reports of a man acting suspiciously on Monday (21 February 2022). Following further enquiries however, no crime was found to have been committed and the matter has now been resolved.”
