Police statement after officers seen entering Wetherspoon pub in Nottingham city centre

Police were called to a popular Wetherspoons pub in Nottingham city centre over the weekend.

The force was called to Lloyd No1 Wetherspoons bar in Carlton Street, Nottingham on Saturday, September 25.

Police say there were reports a man had become aggressive and they sent officers to the scene.

An eyewitness says he saw police rush into the pub at around 2pm.

The force has confirmed no arrests were made as a result of the reported public order incident.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Carlton Street, Nottingham city centre after reports of a public order incident where a man had become aggressive.

“Police were quickly on scene following the call at around 2.10pm on Saturday (25 September 2021).

“The incident was resolved shortly after and no arrests were made.”
