Police statement after officers cordon off road following incident

Nottinghamshire Police cordoned off an area off Mansfield Road on Tuesday, June 28, following a collision involving a car and a pedestrian. Three response units from East Midlands Ambulance Service as well as multiple police cars attended the incident on the A60 towards Sherwood, just off Watcombe Road.

A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Police said: "Police were called to Mansfield Road Carrington at 3:21 today after a collision involving a car and a pedestrian."

The pedestrian was a woman in her eighties and she was taken to hospital for treatment. The spokesperson added: "The severity of her injuries are not yet known." Nottinghamshire Police are asking for anyone who saw what happened to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 474 of June 28, 2022.
