Police statement after officers called to Bulwell industrial estate

Drivers of cars which met an industrial estate in Bulwell were dispersed by officers overnight.

Police on patrol spotted the "small group of cars" at the Blenheim Industrial Estate, in Bennerley Road, at about 10.20pm on Saturday (May 29).

Inspector Gordon Fenwick, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "When police approached, the cars dispersed and no further incidents were reported.

“Anyone who saw something suspicious should contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 893 of 29 May 2021.”

An eyewitness said he saw two police vans arrive, adding there were "loads of interceptors" in the area that evening.

It comes after a number of recent incidents where police have issued statements after car meets were held in Nottinghamshire.

Once recent incident resulted in Nottinghamshire Police putting a 24-hour dispersal order on the area.
