Police statement after moped crash closes busy Nottingham road

Emergency services were called to a moped crash which closed a city road.

Officers were called to reports that a moped had crashed in Bilborough Road, Wollaton, at around 4.20 pm on Tuesday, February 15.

The road was closed whilst emergency services attended but was reopened just before 5.40pm.

A woman is believed to have sustained injuries to her leg but these are not thought to be life-threatening.

Inspector Richard Guy, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Police were quickly on scene after reports that a moped had crashed.

“A woman is currently receiving treatment for injuries but we do not believe these are life threatening.

“The road was closed whilst officers worked to clear the scene but is now reopened.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 529 of 15 February 2022.”
