A main road in Bulwell was closed after a collision involving a motorbike and a car. The rider was taken to hospital after suffering leg injuries as a result of the crash in High Road at around 11.45am.

Nottinghamshire Police attended the scene and closed the road, meaning traffic was forced to divert. Sergeant Rich Boam said: “Officers are currently in attendance at Bulwell High Road, Bulwell, following reports of a collision between a motorbike and a car.

“The rider suffered injuries to his leg in the collision, which happened on the street at around 11.45am earlier today. The injured man has been taken to hospital for further treatment, while officers are still carrying out inquiries.

“Anyone who saw what happened or has any further information is asked to call the police on 101, quoting incident 247 of 6 January 2023.” Nottingham City Transport (NCT) buses were diverted whilst the road was closed.

"There is an incident on Bulwell Main Street, requiring a diversion on Brown 17, Yellow 68/69/70/71 and Turquoise 79/A. Please use Bulwell Bus Station (or Morrisons named stops 70/71) for these services," the operator wrote on Twitter.
