Police statement after Derby Road A52 was closed in both directions due to 3-vehicle crash

Police have released further details after a crash shut Derby Road in Nottingham during the Thursday morning rush hour.

Emergency services were called to the A52 at around 7.15am on May 27 following a crash between three vehicles.

Derby Road near to the Queen's Medical Centre roundabout was closed temporarily, but has since reopened, Nottinghamshire Police confirmed.

It was reported two women suffered injuries which are not believed to be life altering or threatening, the force added.

No arrests have been made.

There was queuing traffic due to crash from the A6464 Woodside Road (Priory Island) to Middleton Boulevard and Clifton Boulevard (QMC roundabout), according to traffic monitoring website Inrix.

A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Police said: "Emergency services were called at around 7.15am this morning following a collision between three vehicles.

Services have since returned to their normal routes with delays.
