Police spot illegal number plate - branded with the words 'catch me if you can'

Police found an 'ironic' twist after stopping a car using false number plates in Salford.

Greater Manchester Police traffic officers in Irlam flagged down a black Audi revealed to be using a false number plate.

But taking a closer look at the plate, officers noticed that in small print, the words 'catch me if you can' were branded across the bottom of the plate.

In a tweet on Friday, the force's traffic division posted a picture of the discovery saying: "Dealt with this illegal number plate in Irlam, the irony is in the detail...'
