Police solve Firth of Forth mystery as unidentified body is finally named

The body of a man which had went unidentified since the beginning of August has finally been named as 41-year-old Rodwhan Ali Al Montsir.

Police Scotland discovered the body at around 8:40am on Wednesday 5 August .

Locals reported a large police presence along with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service following the sad discovery.

A re-appeal for information was issued earlier this week after the man went unidentified, with police releasing the image of a t-shirt in a desperate bid to generate new leads.

Following the appeal, cops said they were now able to confirm that the man had been identified as 41-year-old Rodwhan Ali Al Montsir from Stirling, Scotland.

They said the death is currently being treated us unexplained pending a post mortem examination.

The Procurator Fiscal has also been informed.
