JAISALMER: Mandali and Sirohi police solved a five-year-old theft case of Rs 20 lakh that took place in Nagana town’s Nagechya Mataji Temple in Barmer district and arrested two interstate smugglers - Prakash alias Bhaya (30) and Chail Singh. The two are being interrogated. They have accepted stealing from many temples across the country.
SP Deepak Bhargava told TOI that Rs. 20 lakh were stolen from the temple’s donation box in February, 2017. A special team was formed which had been working to solve the case.
