Police have slammed a woman who wasted their time by dialling 999 and playing music down the phone - while having sex.
The lady called up last night, Thursday, to request urgent emergency help - but quickly changed her tune.
Shocked call handlers at Avon and Somerset Constabulary's HQ revealed that she started playing a song by singer Akon - before announcing she wasn't very lonely.
A tweet from the force's official control room account said: "And the award for the most inappropriate 999 call of the shift goes to the lady who called and requested police, fire and ambulance then proceeded to play an Akon song down the phone and tell the call handler she was having sex."
Despite its serious message, the post was met with a humorous response by some.
One woman said: "Erm...she’s good at multitasking?"
After another woman asked where the call had come from, one man said: "Lovetown! Getting Down To Business District!"
