Police slam selfish Leeds drivers for completely blocking pavement in Morley

West Yorkshire Police have slammed selfish drivers for blocking pavements on a residential street.

The force took to social media to urge motorists to stop leaving their vehicles on the pedestrian pathway, on Croft House Grove, in Morley, Leeds.

They said residents had been forced to use the road to get passed the inconsiderately parked cars.

Alongside a Facebook statement, West Yorkshire Police shared an image of two parked cars completely blocking the pathway.

The statement read: "Can we ask residents to be considerate when parking.

"Taking up the whole walking path and not considering residents who are having to use the road to pass is not right and our officers will be doing patrols and taking appropriate actions to all those involved.”

One local agreed that the parking was selfish, stating: “Selfish what about prams older people even children having to go on road with oncoming traffic.”

While another local recommended the police patrol a nearby estate claiming that he had seen a “high number” of vehicles parked “completely on the pavement”.
