Police slam M60 driver with eight-month-old daughter sat in his lap

Greater Manchester Traffic Police were astonished to find the driver of a black BMW on the M60 with his eight-month-old daughter sat in his lap.

Traffic cops pulled the motorist over on Thursday evening (October 28) and issued him with a Traffic Offences Report and a "very strong" ticking off for being so reckless.

GMP tweeted at 11.29pm: "ME14 was in a marked BMW X5 on the #M60 when the driver of this vehicle went past with his 8 month old Daughter sat on his Lap.

"Driver reported and very strongly advised."

Meanwhile in a separate incident on Thursday evening Greater Manchester Police issued a Traffic Offences Report to the driver of a white BMW who crossed motorway chevron markings on the M602 right in front of a police patrol vehicle.

GMP tweeted at 11.42pm: "The driver of this vehicle drove straight over the solid chevrons in front of #ME54 on the #M602.

Driver stated 'I’m not from round here and I didn’t think you'd mind'.

"How wrong he was. Driver reported."
