Police have shut a road and forensics officers are carrying out an investigation following a "disturbance" involving a group of men and "occupants of a van".
Neighbours said they heard a "loud" dispute shortly before officers arrived at the scene in Liverpool on Tuesday night.
The road was cordoned off and a forensic team wearing white suits was investigating the scene, the Liverpool Echo reported.
A statement from Merseyside Police said that there was a "disturbance" between a group of men and people in a van, and they are appealing for information from the public while working to "establish what has taken place".

Officers could be seen with torches scouring the ground on Trinity Road and they remained at the scene along with a forensic team in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
A local resident told the Echo they heard a dispute earlier on which he described as being "loud" and shortly after police officers arrived with forensics.
Merseyside Police said: "We are investigating following a reports of a disturbance in Bootle tonight, Tuesday 16th November.
"Officers were called at just before 6.30pm to Trinity Road following reports of an incident involving a group of males and the occupants of a van.
"An investigation is underway to establish what has taken place and house-to-house and CCTV enquiries have been carried out in the local area.
"A cordon is currently in place on Trinity Road to allow for a search to be carried out."
Detective Chief Inspector Cath Cummings added that they were appealing for anyone with information about what happened in the incident.
"I would like to appeal for anyone who was in the area of Trinity Road who may have dash cam or mobile phone footage which could assist our investigation to contact us," she said.
