Police shut off road after car crashes into cyclist

A road has been closed in Oldham tonight after a collision involving a car and a bicycle.

Ashton Road, just outside the town centre, was closed around 7pm due to a crash. It was shut at the junction with Copster Hill Road.

It is reported a car and a bicycle are involved. Pictures taken at the scene show a number of police cars in attendance as well as ambulances.

It is not known if any injuries have resulted from the collision. Greater Manchester Police have been approached for more information.

The road has been partially opened as of 8.15pm.
