Police shut down busy Glasgow city centre street due to 'unsafe building'

Police have taped off a busy Glasgow city centre street after a window smashed at the top of an office building.

Emergency services descended on the corner of Queen Street and Ingram Street around 7.30pm this evening.

A Record reporter on the scene said the closure was caused by glass falling from the office building.

Glasgow City Council said the incident is due to an "unsafe building" and alerting road users that Ingram Street has been closed in both directions.
