Police share photos of 'beaning' incidents after TikTok trend goes viral

Two images showing incidents of "beaning" have been released by police after a TikTok trend went viral.

The trend, which sees youths smear baked beans on people's driveways, doors, and cars, prompted police to issue a warning to shops about the danger of selling baked beans to children. It is also potentially harmful to dogs.

An alert was issued by West Yorkshire Police about the trend and pictures of incidents in the area were also shared by Surrey Police in a bid to raise awareness, Wales Online reports.

PCSO Michelle Owens of West Yorkshire Police said: "If you work in a shop, please can you be aware of youths buying large quantities of cans of beans, if you have children living at home, please be mindful if you see them removing cans of beans from the family home."

Surrey Police have released images after what SurreyLive calls a 'rampage' in the village on Wonersh.

Police in Surrey say someone poured baked beans onto front doors and cars under the cover of darkness.

Surrey Police said: "Local officers have received reports of incidents in Wonersh where beans and other food has been poured onto resident's front doors and cars overnight.

"The victims are understandably distressed by this unacceptable behaviour.
