Police share cheeky Facebook post after seizing bags full of 'illicit' aftershave from Manchester streets

Police revealed that they have seized a number of 'illicit' aftershaves from the streets of Manchester, in a humorous Facebook post.

In a tongue-in-cheek post on the GMP City Centre page, a force spokesman joked claimed that the aftershaves smelled like a 'full toilet' and warned people not to buy from street traders.

The status was shared alongside a photograph, showing a number of boxes and supermarket bags, as well as 'branded' aftershaves such as Hugo Boss and Chanel.

"Did you know 'eau de toilette' means 'Toilet Water'," the post started.

"Fortunately Manchester City Council and GMP City Centre have been busy saving you from smelling exactly like a full toilet over Christmas!

"Don't buy from someone selling out of a bag on the street #norefunds #somethingsmells #illicit".
