A man was arrested after police recovered a stolen motorbike from the back of a van in Kirkby.
Officers spotted the van near to Warrenhouse Road in the Northwood area of Kirkby on Tuesday evening, when it tried to make off.
The van was stopped by police nearby and officer discovered a stolen motorbike in the back.

A man was arrested at the scene and the bike is now being examined.
In a post on Facebook yesterday the force revealed that some criminals were following them on social media.
The post read: "Good evening to everybody except motorbike thieves (we know you read our posts) Kirkby community police officers sighted a vehicle attempting to evade them near to Warrenhouse Road in Northwood.
"They weren't quick enough though as they were stopped a short time later and officers discovered a stolen motorbike inside the rear of the van.
The occupant of the van was arrested, and the bike is now in the process of being returned to its rightful owner. If you know of any people / vans / addresses involved in vehicle crime, contact crime stoppers on 0800 555 111."
