Liverpool daytrippers hoping to enjoy the good weather on North Wales beaches yesterday had their day cut short when they were sent packing by police.
Whilst lockdown restrictions in England are being relaxed, in Wales unessential travel is still against the rules.
Despite the regulations, people from Liverpool and Widnes attempted to travel to North Wales for a day at the seaside.
Police stopped visitors from the North West on beaches in Colwyn Bay, Rhos-on-Sea and Llandudno.
And according to North Wales Live, the day-trippers were moved on and sent right back home.
In a tweet on the NWP account, the force said: “We know the sunny and warm weather is enticing, but this is a reminder that restrictions in Wales remain.

“Reports of day-trippers from Liverpool, Manchester and Widnes on the beach in Colwyn Bay, Rhos-on-Sea & Llandudno who have been moved on and sent home.”
Police patrolling in the Snowdonia mountain range were flagged down by a group of people who were not only in breach of lockdown rules but asked officers ‘where is nice to visit?’.
