Police seize vehicles after reports of antisocial behaviour

A tip off from residents fed up of anti social behaviour led to the seizure of two vehicles in a Wirral crackdown.

Officers from Merseyside police seized an off road quad bike on Wednesday (15 June) after responding to reports from local residents of a group of young people riding "in an antisocial manner" in the New Ferry area of Wirral.

While officers were attending at the scene, they also received further reports of a vehicle which had been causing an obstruction in the street and was then taken away by police.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police, posting on the Wirral Police Facebook Page, said: "You said, we did!"

The force spokesperson said: "Local Officers from TeamBeb have responded to reports of a number of youths riding on an off road quad bike in an antisocial manner in the New Ferry area.

"Officers have attended the location and seized the vehicle."

The spokesperson added: "Whilst dealing with this, residents raised their concerns about a vehicle causing an obstruction.

"This vehicle has also been dealt with and was seized by officers also."
