Police seize 'teeny tiny' cannabis plants after drugs raid in Bulwell Forest

Police who carried out a drug warrant at a property in Bulwell Forest have ensured all illegal substances will be seized regardless of size.

A number of small cannabis plants were found at the address in Bulwell Forest on Wednesday morning (March 4).

Despite being described as "teeny tiny", officers explained how in a short amount of time the innocent-looking plants could have lead to bigger problems.

In a post on Facebook, a spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: "Bestwood Neighbourhood Police Team attended an address in Bulwell Forest this morning and executed a warrant under S23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

"After a few minutes of searching the address officers located a cannabis grow within the property.

"All plants have been seized as evidence and the equipment has been destroyed."

They added: "They might be teeny tiny but in a few weeks these 'tomatoes' would have been worth a small fortune, potentially funding all sorts of illegal activity.

"Big or small we'll seize them all!"

If you have information about drug activity in your area you can contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or alternatively you can report anonymously at Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
