Police seize motorised scooter in south Bristol after discovering it was uninsurable

Officers from Avon and Somerset Police were forced to seize a motorised scooter from south Bristol last night (April 9) after it was found that it was not licenced to be driven on the road.

On top of this, officers discovered the scooter could not be insured and as a result the vehicle was seized at the scene and the driver reported.

The information was put out on the police's Twitter account and reads: "Eagle eyed @ASPSouthGlos unit helping to patrol south #Bristol spotted this in use. Good job it still had its rear reflector fitted so it could be seen in the pitch dark...No licence, can't be insured, scooter seized, rider reported."

Elsewhere in Bristol, police confirmed an arrest had been made following a vandal dug up and grabbed two plaques and a wreath and chucked them into the river beside Castle Park on Tuesday (April 7).
