Police seize man's new car two hours after he bought it

Police have seized a car bought just two hours previously.

It is alleged the new owner had been driving his new £300 vehicle without a licence.

Officers said that after a short "car chase" the suspect jumped into the back of the vehicle "to try and hide the fact" he was driving.

Lisburn and Castlereagh Police shared a picture of the incident last night, saying: "After a short chase with this car and the driver jumping into the back of it to try to hide the fact that he was the driver, it's been seized.

"The driver had only bought the car two hours ago for £300. He also didn't have a driving licence. He'll be reported for numerous offences."

They added: "A passenger will be dealt with for having [alleged] Cannabis and Cocaine. Making the roads that bit safer for everyone."
