Police seize huge cannabis cultivation worth £200k from Scots shop

Police seized a huge cannabis cultivation from an Airdrie shop last week.

Officers swooped on Stirling Street in Airdrie on Tuesday, March 2.

Following a search of the premises cops recovered over 400 cannabis plants with a value of around £200,000.

Police were seen on Wednesday morning carrying large boxes from the premises into a marked van.

A 34-year-old man has been arrested and police say a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said "Following the search of a premises in Stirling Street in Airdrie on Tuesday, 2 March, 2021, over 400 cannabis plants, with a value of £200,000 were recovered.

"A 34-year-old man was arrested and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
