Police seized a pair of hanging baskets from man who claimed he was 'delivering them to a friend' at 11.30pm.

Officers in Rochdale are now trying to reunite the the flowers with their owner.

In a post on Facebook GMP Rochdale said the man was stopped by officers on Wednesday night and said he was taking the hanging baskets to his friend 'at an unknown address'.

GMP Rochdale posted: "The following hanging baskets were seized from a male who was delivering them to his friend to an unknown address at around 23:30hrs last night.

"If you are missing two hanging baskets please pop into Rochdale Police Station's enquiry counter and leave your contact details and the officer will make contact. Thank you."
